Welcome to the Sherbrooke Connectivity Imaging Laboratory (SCIL) website! The lab is headed by Professor Maxime Descoteaux, Ph.D and focuses on brain connectivity from state-of-the-art diffusion MRI acquisition, reconstruction, processing & visualization. The aim of the SCIL is to better understand anatomical connectivity between cortical regions and characterize white matter integrity.

April 2013: The SCIL is a winner in two categories of the ISBI HARDI Reconstruction Challenge 2013.

 

Febuary 2013: A SCIL image wins a honorable mention and the public prize in a special issue of the prestigious Science Magazine. A SCIL fiber tracking image also makes the cover of Nature Reviews Neurology. A different colormap every month.

December 2012: The SCIL is now part of NSERC-CREATE Program in Medical Image Analysis. Students, you can apply!

 

September 2012: Part of the Code Chastenay show of September 11 will be dedicated to Maxime’s research with Kevin Whittinstall (CHUS). The show will air on September 11, at 19:00, on Télé-Québec.
